These teams of people are asked to help in different times and in different ways throughout the year. Some teams require more time than others, while other teams require specialized skill development. As a church, we keep this list handy and may call on team members to help out others in the congregation when needed. There are many ways for you to be a part of Help Ministries. Look at the list below to see which job might be right for you!

GENERAL HELP MINISTRIES THAT ANYONE CAN DO!

Berean Meal Team- If you love to cook a dish or a meal to help others in a time of need, this is the team for you. When Berean hosts a funeral with luncheon we reach out to this team to bring sides and desserts. We also reach out to this team with a sign-up when families in our church need a meal due to the birth of a baby, health struggles, etc. By joining this team, you are choosing to receive the notices for help and sign up as it works for your schedule and budget!

Cleaning/Light Housework/Laundry- Do you love to do laundry, vacuum, sweep, mop, or clean toilets? This is the group for you. Sometimes people in our Berean Family or our community need a little extra help around the house for various reasons. If you join this group, you will receive notices when someone needs help and if your schedule allows you can help make a difference.

Community Engagement Events Help- Throughout the year we hold many events designed to engage our community. These include Farmers Market & Craft Markets, Super Sunday Family Fun Days, Glow-in-the-Dark and more. If you are interested in helping make these events a success by volunteering your time, this is the group for you! Please note- joining this group will require you to go through the volunteer application process including a background check.

Event Setup/Tear Down- There are many events hosted at Berean throughout the year that require the setting up or taking down of tables and chairs and we know many hands make light work! Sometimes we need other kinds of help to prepare the building for events too. We recognize that you won't always be available when we need help. By joining this group, you will receive emails letting you know of upcoming dates and times that we will be setting up/ tearing down from events. If you're willing to donate your time to help us prepare or reset after these events, this is the group for you!

Shopping/Errands- Do you love roaming the aisles with a list in hand? If so, this is the group for you! Sometimes due to health issues or other circumstances, people in our Berean family need help picking up groceries or other items. If you join this group, you will receive emails letting you know when there is a need and you can respond according to your schedule.

SPECIALIZED HELP MINISTRIES THAT REQUIRE A SKILL

Building/Construction- If you have building/construction skills and would like to be on a list of people that we can call on when we need help either as the church or for a Berean family member, this is the group for you! By joining the group, you are choosing to be alerted when help is needed and can make the decision to accept or decline based on your time and assessment of the help needed.

Electrical Projects- If you have electrical skills and would like to be on a list of people that we can call on when we need help either as the church or for a Berean family member, this is the group for you! By joining the group, you are choosing to be alerted when help is needed and can make the decision to accept or decline based on your time and assessment of the help needed.

Mechanical/Automotive- If you have mechanical/automotive skills and would like to be on a list of people that we can call on when we need help either as the church or for a Berean family member, this is the group for you! By joining the group, you are choosing to be alerted when help is needed and can make the decision to accept or decline based on your time and assessment of the help needed.

Technology Support- If you have technology skills and would like to be on a list of people that we can call on when we need help either as the church or for a Berean family member, this is the group for you!
